Behind the Music
A Story Steeped in Sound
It is my mission to create music that connects people with the natural world around them.

Camden has explored the jazz and classical genres of trumpet music giving him a wide
array of musical tools to write with. Through arranging, it is his goal to combine the colorful brass timbre
in a traditional music sense as well as incorporating new sounds of the 20th and 21st centuries to highlight the versatility of the brass instrument. It is Camden’s goal to create colorful passages that can evoke memories and feelings of
adventure, connection with nature, longing, and new beginnings.

Mr. Hunt has experience playing in the DFW area outside of school with the Dallas Asian American
Youth Orchestra, The Jordan Khan Orchestra, small jazz combos in Denton, and weekly with the Mosaic
Jazz Worship group. The groups he has experience performing with at The University of North Texas (UNT) are the Symphonic Band, Concert Orchestra, 3 o’clock lab band, as well as the various trumpet quintets, brass
quintets, and mixed brass ensembles he has put together for performances and gigs.

Camden’s educational experience on the classical side comes from John Holt and Alan Vizzutti, with
his jazz and arranging fundamentals coming from former 1 o’clock solo chair Keith Karns. Camden will
graduate with a degree in trumpet performance from the University of North Texas in December of 2020.
